SBE25 Trondheim – Sara Matoti to premiere her research conducted at the Beta Nit Daylighting Lab

SBE25 Trondheim

At SBE25 Trondheim, in Session 2C (Lecturehall R9) dedicated to “Climate change and resilience”, at 13:45 (ID: 71) the work of our intern Sara Matoti will be presented for the first time. The talk, titled “Climate change through the lens of historical cloister: bridging historical microclimate observations with simulation models”, will bring unpublished results from research carried out at the Beta Nit Daylighting Lab, aiming to shed—literally—new light on aspects of the luminous experience in historic spaces.

SBE25 is part of the global Sustainable Built Environment (SBE) series, focused on sustainability in the built environment and the challenges posed by climate change. The event will take place from 24 to 27 November in Trondheim at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology), where the Climate HubLAB led by Prof. Luca Finocchiaro is located; the lab is equipped with manual and automatic heliodons provided by Beta Nit (https://www.ntnu.edu/iat/laboratories).

The next global meeting will be WSBE26, from 10 to 12 June 2026 in Melbourne, which will represent the culmination of a two‑year cycle of regional conferences held around the world. This global event provides a unique opportunity to learn, connect, and collaborate on critical issues affecting our urban and built environments.

The SBE Conference Series (https://sbe-series.org) is the leading — and one of the longest-running — series of scientific and technical conferences that brings together expertise, knowledge and research evidence to support sustainable development and management of the built environment at all scales, engaging stakeholders at local, national, regional and international levels. A distinctive feature of the SBE Conference Series is the linked set of regional conferences held in the year preceding the world conference — a continuous format in use since 2000 (https://www.wsbe26.org/sbe-series).
